Job Opportunity: Caretaking / B&B Changeovers + Gardens

We’re opening Awen Cottage as a B&B and are currently looking for a couple to join us for a longer stay (minimum 3 months, with the possibility to extend if it’s a great fit for everyone).

The role

You will be responsible for:

• Guest changeovers: setting the home up before guests arrive (including placing the key in the locked key box), then cleaning the cottage, stripping beds, and preparing the property for the next guests when they depart.
• Gardens and lawns: maintaining the property, staying on top of new growth through spring and summer, and managing watering as needed (the watering system is now in place, making this much easier than before).

This is a paid position with each guest changeover. We’re currently in the building stage, so it’s a quieter time than we expect later on.

In exchange

• You may park your own caravan or motorhome on the back portion of the property for your privacy.
• You don’t have to leave the property when guests are staying, but please aim to keep out of their space and respect their privacy.
• Water is provided.
• Power required: you’ll need your own power via solar.

We’re hoping for a genuine win-win arrangement, and we’d also be open to conversations if you’d like to build a vegetable garden bed down the back.
