Cane Haulout Truck Driver

A position has become available for a Cane Haulout operator with Dal Santo Harvesting Pty Ltd located in the Clare area in the Burdekin. We run near new Isuzu twin steer automatic HR trucks hauling Sugar Cane. It is a 5 out of 7 roster meaning you'll work 6 days straight then you'll have 2 rostered days off. Every 5 weeks you'll have 2 long weekends consecutively. This job involves early starts ( usually in the paddock harvesting by 4am) and there will be a requirement to assist in burning the sugar cane as required. There is approximately 70 percent of the crop to be harvested (65000 tons of sugar cane). On site camping available with free power and water supplied. The season usually runs through to the end of the year weather permitting. It not for the faint hearted but the pay is attactive with the bonus of working with a great team. .
