Household helper with some optional farm activities on a family run cropping farm

We seek an enthusiastic, experienced person to help run the household during harvest and provide some harvest meals for the team.  This is a very important role in the successful harvesting of our broadacre crops (wheat, barley, canola and faba beans).

 

The main activities include planning nutritious meals, ordering food, cooking, cleaning the main house and washing the family's clothes.

 

Depending on the candidate's skills and interests, she may also be asked to: help look after the children outside of school hours; look after the ponies, assist with farm activities, maintain the garden, keep the vehicles tidy and check grain samples.  Training will be provided.  This is a great opportunity to have fun, learn new skills and be part of a vibrant team.

 

Essential:

Excellent work ethic, honesty, integrity, communication skills

Experience in domestic roles: cooking, cleaning, washing, planning

Experience in looking after children

Place a high importance on safety at all times

Ability to plan ahead and work unsupervised

Current Australian Drivers Licence (Manual) or Current International Drivers Licence (Manual)

Non smoker/non vaper

 

Preferred but not essential:

Farm experience

 

Everyone who works on our farm is asked to provide a current National Police Clearance and we are happy to reimburse them for the Clearance.
