Description
Have you ever dreamed of living and working on beautiful K'gari (Fraser Island)?
Our wonderful caretakers are moving on in August 2026 after taking great care of our holiday accommodation, so we're looking for a reliable, energetic couple to join us as Property Caretakers for our properties at Yidney Rocks and Happy Valley.
THE ROLE INCLUDES:
Cleaning holiday accommodation between guest stays (changeovers) and periodic deep cleans (paid at an hourly rate)
General property maintenance and minor repairs
Groundskeeping, including mowing and whipper-snippingWHAT'S PROVIDED:
A self-contained one-bedroom unit in the Happy Valley township
Water, gas and electricity included
Commencing August 2026
Preference for applicants able to commit to at least 12 months
This position is suited to a coupleABOUT YOU:
This is more of a lifestyle position - although this is a paid position, it is not a high-earning role. It is therefore more suited to a retired/semi-retired/grey nomad couple.
All properties on the Island are off-grid, so we rely on solar power (with back-up generator). You will be provided with a full handover - however, prior experience and ability to manage equipment and problem-solve in an isolated location is important.
